Phyllis A. (Dell) Stockholm

July 28, 1925 –  June 21, 2017

Phyllis passed away peacefully at St. Augustine Home for the Aged in Indianapolis surrounded by her family on June 21, 2017. She is survived by her children, Jim (Oliver) , Bill (Peggy) and Linda Britt (Jim) as well as four grandchildren 
Brian (Kim), Adam (Sarah), Connor and Kelsey, and four great grandchildren Pierce, Gage, Natalie, and Atlas.

Phyllis was born on July 28, 1925 to Mary and Brooke Dell in Springfield, IL. She graduated from St. Joan of Arc Grade School and Shortridge High School. She attended Butler University in Indianapolis. While at Butler, she joined the Delta Gamma Sorority and was basketball homecoming queen in the fall of 1944. She met and married Raymond (Jim) Stockholm who graduated from the School of Pharmacy at Butler.

She loved the arts, fashion, shopping and gardening. She taught grade school at St Pius X in Indianapolis in the 1960’s. Later, she enrolled in real estate classes eventually becoming a broker. Her successful real estate career included working at Century 21 and Tucker Carmel offices.

She was a member of St. Elizabeth Seton Parish in Carmel, IN. Friends may visit Sunday, June 25th from 1:00 – 4:00pm at Indiana Funeral Care, 8151 Allisonville Rd., Indianapolis. There will be a second showing from 9:30 – 10:30am on Monday, June 26th at St Augustine Home for the Aged, 2345 West 86th St, Indianapolis. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Augustine at 11:00 am.  In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to St. Augustine Home for the Aged.
